I was recently asked to make a mix of depressing music for someone. It apparently worked too well and I feel bad. I listen to a lot of depressing music so I don't think it really makes a difference to me. I just picked some random old things that were on my computer and didn't even pull things off the ipod. I feel like I could do some serious damage if I really worked on it. I don't know if it's the songs or the person or if its just the combination of all of it. Some even sound more upbeat and then just smack you in the face. I like those ones a lot, they did too. I think I need a Part II, and a "lets get this party started" mix. Kinda like uppers and downers for mixes. So this was what did it:1. The Love I'm Searching For- The Rentals
2. Two- Ryan Adams
3. Galaxies- Laura Veirs
4. Saturday- Built to Spill
5. The Funeral- Band of Horses
6. Pictures of You- The Cure (this one is too easy)
7. Heaven Knows I'm Miserable Now- The Smiths (ditto)
8. Freakish- Saves the Day
9. Miracle Sun (Acoustic)- Circa Survive
10. Mad World- Tears for Fears
11. 12 Easy/Lucky/Free- Bright Eyes
12. About Her- from KillBill
13. Melody- Blonde Redhead
14. Slow- The Cardigans
15. Heaven- Talking Heads
16. Heart of Gold (Neil Young cover)- Tori Amos
17. Joga- Bjork
18. Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)- Nancy Sinatra
Who does not love a hang in there poster? I'll take any excuse to post one.
